Suicide bomber kills 20 in Somalia
At least 20 people have been killed in a suicide car bombing in Somalia. Like 30 others injured. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a restaurant in the country's capital, Mogadishu. Reuters eyewitness Erb told local media that a cloud of smoke was seen rising in the sky after the blast. And the gunfight begins. A suicide car bomber struck outside a restaurant near the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Friday evening, killing at least 10 people, the EFE news agency reported.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a restaurant near the port.
"The blast was very loud and caused significant damage and civilian casualties," Officer Mohammed Osma told AFP.
No group has claimed responsibility, but the country faces repeated attacks by al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab rebels.
The group is waging a violent uprising across the Horn of Africa.
In 2011, 20,000 African Union peacekeepers were ousted from Mogadishu by government forces.
The group still controls various areas outside the cities, from where they carry out attacks against government targets, as well as occasionally crossing the border to conduct raids in Kenya.
Since 1991, Somalia has been limited to a central government and is trying to rebuild itself with the help of the United Nations.
