In one week, the incidence of Covid-19 in Bangladesh has increased by 90%
Official figures prove that 91.9 percent of the weekly spikes were active and the death rate rose to 85.53 percent.
On Saturday, the caseload increased by 1,868, with a positive rate of 9.39 percent, reaching 558,706. According to government figures, the death toll rose to 6,66868 after two new deaths were reported from Covid-19.
At the same time, another 1,57777 people recovered from Covid-19 through home and hospital care, bringing the total number of recoveries to 520,718.
After falling below 5 percent on January 19, the positive rate dropped further to 3 percent, but began to rise again in early March, crossing the 5 percent mark again in March and increasing the daily infection rate from 9 percent to 11 percent in the last three days.

The death toll rose to 6,690 after 22 people were killed between 8am and 24am on Sunday, according to government figures.
At the same time, 1,6868 more people recovered from COVID-19 through home and hospital care, bringing the total number of recoveries to 522,405.
As many as 21,108 samples were tested throughout the count. The latest official figures put the recovery rate at 91.51 percent and the death rate at 1.52 percent.
A study from Johns Hopkins University found that worldwide, the coronavirus novel infected more than 122.62 million people and killed 2.7 million.
Since the first case was reported in China in December 2012, there have been reports of infection in more than 210 countries and territories.
