Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed said there was no alternative to training despite having modern equipment. Therefore, he said, the army should not only be modernized, it should not be equipped with modern equipment, we should be trained in such a way that the equipment can be managed efficiently. Otherwise, no matter how modern the equipment may be, without good training it will not give us any results. He was speaking at the closing ceremony and award distribution ceremony of the Army firing competition at Savar Cantonment yesterday morning. He further said that we will not keep pace with the times.
We need to have adequate training, as much training as we have learned, and more training. We must always be in a state of training, then we are always ready to fight. So it will not work if it is modern. We have to move forward with training. We love training enough. So training is not an option. We have to be cautious. We must always continue to do solo training with training and technology.
