The death toll from the coronavirus infection has risen to a staggering 10,000, with another 49 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The total number of casualties reached 10,081 as of Thursday morning, including the latest figures.
One year after the news of the first death on March 18, 2020, Bangladesh reached a deadly milestone.
After a new wave of coronaviruses spread across the country, it took just 15 days to cross the 10,000 mark. The death toll on March 31 exceeded 9,000.
On Wednesday, the country had the highest death toll at 9 in 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4,192 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 7,707,3622.
In a press release on Thursday afternoon, the Director General of Health Services (DGHS) released the latest figures for the country's Covid-19.
The latest data also shows that the average death toll from a seven-day coronavirus death has risen by 800 since Wednesday.
Of the 94 people killed, 644 were men and 30 were women. 699 were from Dhaka division, 12 from Chittagong, six from Rajshahi, three from Khulna, two from Barisal and one each from Sylhet and Rangpur divisions.
Ninety of the victims died at various hospitals and four at home.

So far, 499 males (.34.39%) and 2,562 females (25..61%) have died in the country since Kovid-19.
Since the onset of the epidemic, 5,8554 people have died in Dhaka division, 1,606 in Chittagong, 541 in Rajshahi, 6,266 in Khulna, 3,011 in Barisal, 3,346 in Sylhet, 391 in Rangpur and 212 in Mymensingh.
The death rate against the total number of cases detected so far stands at 1.43%.
According to official data, 55% of people aged 56 and over have been the most at risk of covid-19 as of Thursday, with people aged 60 and over having a physical accident.

In addition, 24.60% of the victims were men between the ages of 51 and 60, 11.16% were between the ages of 41 and 50, 4.94% were between the ages of 31 and 40, 1.90% were between the ages of 21 and 30, 0.70% were between the ages of 11 and 20, and 0.40% were between the ages. 0 to 10 years old.

In the last 24 hours, 18,770 samples were collected from 24 suspected Covid-19 patients, the DGHS said.
Public and private - 19,959 samples were tested, including pending in 257 approved labs across the country, and 4,192 new patients were confirmed.
The latest statistics show an infection rate of 21%.
To date, 5,115,572 tests have been conducted in the country, leading to an overall infection rate of 13.83% so far.
Health authorities said 5,915 people had recovered from the disease in the previous 24 hours.

So far, 597,214 patients - 84.43% - have fully recovered across the country.
